International Print Biennale is the biggest printmaking festival in the UK and brings together 15 galleries in a rich and exciting programme. There is something for everyone to enjoy - whether it involves seeing or making prints.
The Print Awards reward and recognise international artists working in print through awarding 6 prestigious prizes.
The selectors for Print Awards 2011 are:
Patrice Cotensin, Galerie Lelong, Paris
Born in Tours, France, in 1952, Patrice Cotensin worked as Professor of Modern Literature from 1973 – 86. In 1984 he founded and became Director of the Echoppe editions, a series of texts on the subject of art. He also founded and was Director of the Artothèque de Caen from 1986-90. He became a Director of the Galerie Lelong, Paris in 1990.
Peter Randall-Page, Artist
British artist born in 1954, Peter Randall-Page studied at Bath Academy of Art (1973-77) and over the past 25 years has gained an international reputation through his sculpture, drawings and prints. His work is held in public and private collections worldwide and is represented in the permanent collections of the Tate Gallery and the British Museum amongst others.
Michael Taylor, Paupers Press
Michael Taylor is the founder of the Paupers Press, and co - founder of Standpoint, an artist run gallery, studio and educational charity based in Hoxton, London. He has taught at Central St.Martins, Norwich, Camberwell and the Royal College of Art, and has exhibited in both solo and group shows within the UK, Europe and the USA.
