Thru 15 June 2012
From 30 March to 15 June 2012, in the enchanting setting of the CASA DEI TRE OCI – International Photography Centre, on Giudecca Island, you’ll be able to admire 140 photographs by Elliott Erwitt, which are among the most famous and prominent of his entire career.
As a member since 1953 of the Magnum Agency, founded at the end of the Second World War by a group of photographers including Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Capa, not only has Erwitt recounted in a journalistic fashion the last six decades of the history of our world and of contemporary civilisation, but has been able to collect, in a set of black and white images, the most tragic and amusing aspects of his life spent striving towards his goal.
